Couriers cannot go into the housing estates: how do people take food and deliveries?

In Xinjinan garden, in one of the housing estates in Baoan, Shenzhen, a shed is built near the entrance of the garden for people to take their food and packages. When they come into the garden, the guard takes their temperature.

As the coronavirus cases are still showing an upward trend in mainland China, people are forced to stay at home. Shenzhen, a city with the most ports in China, has been most affected by the outbreak in the Guangdong province. The number of coronavirus cases has exceeded 400 and even now surpassed Guangzhou. To reduce the human-to-human transmission, all delivery men and couriers cannot go into the housing estates, according to the latest policy. Individuals, who do not want to go to the supermarket, need to go downstairs to pick up their delivery.

Inside every elevator, there is a pack of tissues. and elevators are sterilized three times a day. On February 15, Zhang Li Dong, 47, a resident of the Xinjinan garden, draws a tissue with disposable gloves.
Zhang presses the button with a tissue. He is going to take the food that he has bought online. The elevator buttons are all covered with plastic wrap.
There are two trash cans on the ground floor of each building in the garden for residents to throw their used tissues.
Zhang said this special mask was made by his wife. The mask consists of a sterilized towel and two rubber bands.
Zhang is selecting the food that he bought online under the shed near the entrance of the garden. He says the 'Ding dong supermarket' app is convenient and the vegetables are fresh.
According to Mr Xie, the guard of the housing estate, the shed is built because some food needs to be kept under cool conditions.
All the express packages from different courier companies such as SF Express, JD, Yuan Tong are here, too.
The guard takes the temperature of each person when they come into the housing estate.
Mr Zhou, the guard of the Xinjinan garden, says the population flow is around 820 everyday.
A trash can is used to store discarded masks.
